The Vigilante Thief, or Green Archer, is a young commoner from Thornwood. She describes herself as "having too much common sense to follow the rules" and is known for her good humor and pleasant demeanor, even in combat.
History
The Green Archer became disillusioned with the ruling king of TowerFall as a child, after witnessing unknown events in Thornwood involving royal soldiers. These soldiers may have included the now-disgraced Turncloak Soldier. She fled the kingdom of TowerFall and was trained by the Forgotten Master. She later returned with the intention of helping the people of TowerFall subvert the established authority in any way possible.
Development
The Vigilante Thief was the first archer designed for the game, and was included in the original TowerFall release. The team wanted the first two selectable characters to be female, so her and the Last of the Order became archers 1 and 2, respectively. For TowerFall Ascension, the Vigilante Thief's slide sprite was upgraded to a rolling tumble animation.

The Alternate Green Archer is the Vigilante Mask, the original Green Archer’s fearless protégé. Even as a master archer, it can be difficult for a child to be taken seriously in battle. She created her masked alter ego to inspire fear in the hearts of her adversaries. Plus she thinks it looks super badass.
